Ra.One (also called Ra.1) is an upcoming Bollywood science-fiction superhero film directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film, which features Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, will be produced under Khan's production company, Red Chillies Entertainment.Despite being very upset after his close associate, Red Chillies CEO Bobby Chawla (Juhi Chawla’s brother), was admitted to a suburban hospital on April 4 after suffering a brain hemorrhage, SRK has decided to take care of every little thing in his production house.Since Bobby Chawla’s hospitalisation has thrown the entire shooting schedule of Ra.One in a complete mess, Shah Rukh has decided to lead from the front to ensure that everything is quickly put back on track.“A few of Bobby Chawla’s duties have been taken up by Ra.One director Anubhav Sinha too, but it is Shah Rukh who is now holding the reins of Ra.One,” says a source close to the film.Commenting on what exactly Shah Rukh is doing to get things back on track, the source says that Shah Rukh has taken up all duties which were earlier being handled by Bobby Chawla.“SRK is mainly taking care of four jobs: calling up every actor of Ra.One and coordinating their dates, discussing their remuneration, making sure that they get their payments on time and talking to technicians (including those coming from abroad) for every single production detail, including the special effects involved in the film,” says the source.“Come to think of it, SRK is holding the whole film together. There is production related work, which SRK would have never done otherwise.With Bobby taking care of everything at Red Chillies for all these years, all SRK had to concentrate on was acting.He completely relies on Bobby and is definitely missing him very much. But SRK has decided that he will not give anybody involved with the film a chance to complain about anything,” adds the source.Shah Rukh has a tough job ahead but he has gladly taken on additional responsibilities...both as a friend and a boss.

Khan will be playing a Miami software engineer Shekhar in the film, who as a video-game hero takes on his self-created techno-monster "Ra.One"(random access version 1.0 ).This film will reportedly have "breathtaking" stunts from Shahrukh Khan. The special effects team is being hired from Hollywood. Khan has already started working out to prepare himself to be able to perform the "daring" stunts for the film. Khan is now set to go flying in the sky to save mankind in this film.At a press conference that welcomed Akon to India, he revealed that his character can "solidify" electricity and that his team was working on making this possible on screen. He also referred to his character as "Jeevu", suggesting perhaps a double role.The shooting will primarily take place in Miami (Florida, USA), portions will also be filmed in Film City Mumbai and London. In March 2010, Khan tweeted that the shooting of the film had officially begun.Kareena Kapoor plays the female lead alongside Khan in the film; the duo were last paired opposite each other in Asoka (2001).Arjun Rampal was confirmed as the villain on Shahrukh Khans twitter account.During an appearance on the chat show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Khan stated that Jackie Chan was "approached for a role in the film". Khan had reportedly sent Chan the detailed script of the film, along with the action sequences and a brief synopsis of his character  He later confirmed on Twitter that Chan would not be part of Ra.1.Akon and Khan reportedly met in Los Angeles, USA. It was reported that Akon, besides singing one song, would also form part of the cast. However, Sinha later explained that Akon would "only [be] singing for our film [and] not acting". Akon arrived in India on March 8, 2010, and recorded the song with composers Vishal-Shekhar on March 9 and 10. His arrival was supposedly kept "very hush-hush".
